All was good

Not a big problem but a bigger sign more visible from the main road would give a better advertisement and guide to location

Public rooms very good. Restaurant good. Breakfast was fairly ordinary.

Room was tired.

The property was ‘tired’ and in a poor state of repair in my room. There was a wall light missing next to the bed with wires hanging out. The room was exceptionally small. The shower curtain did not reach the bottom of the shower. There was a hole in the bathroom door. Staff were not friendly- on arrival the young man who served me asked me to pay and when I said I had already paid via Booking. com he argued with me. Eventually he got another member of staff who confirmed I had paid. The restaurant was in much better condition than the rest of the hotel. I was asked where I wanted to sit and then told I had to sit at the back ( where it was quite dark) because of my dog, even though only 1 other table was occupied. The next morning I was ignored when I arrived for breakfast and it was only as I left the breakfast room that a member of staff said good morning!
