Beautiful building, fresh bright and clean. Lovely dining room and sitting area with tv and coffee making facilities plus a fridge.

I have been asked by my sister and brother in law to write a review as that is too technical for them.
They stayed at the Old School House for two nights in the beginning of October 2023.
It is beginning to be very repetitive. As everybody else has already said, we found this B&B outstanding. The owners have thought about everything in minute detail. One cannot think of anything that they have not anticipated.
Apart from that, it is absolutely spotless.
The breakfast is incredibly generous.
In short, a wonderful place to spend time.
Last but not Lisa, Lisa is very, very friendly.

Everything. The ease, the comfort, the facilities. The little touches in the room. Fluffy towels, comfy bed, the booklet on what to do and where to go. Was all great.

This was a very last minute stay and we only had a couple of essential overnight emergency items with us so was great to find bedside fans, USB chargers, hairdryer and a smart TV with Netflix - I was able continue watching The Crown:). Bathroom had a lovely big shower and great to find shampoo & conditioner which was a life saver for me. Plenty of places to eat within a short walk or there was a lovely conservatory which we didn't use but looked like there was everything you'd need if you were having a takeaway or had say a microwave meal to heat up. We had a great night's rest in the comfy bed with absolutely no disturbances from other guests - a very peaceful place indeed! Didn't think it could get much better but the next morning we were served a delicious freshly cooked breakfast to our order. Lisa, the owner was lovely and made us feel very welcome and noticed she was very attentive to all the guests. I did notice there were a few couples who were returning customers and I can definitely understand why. Not sure if we will ever find ourselves in that part of the world again but I know if we did we would definitely be back - this place had everything for a comfortable relaxing stay - very impressed!!!!

Liked everything.
It stated nowhere that there would be no housekeeping and room would not be cleaned. To use COVID as an excuse in August 2023 is farfetched.
For the price getting room cleaned is expected. Not a huge deal for two nights, but need to know before booking.

Nice decor, large room, friendly staff, good breakfast, food very fresh. Room had nice touches, drinks and toiletries. Communal lounge. Good location for Cambridge if you have a car. Near various places for evening meal on foot. WiFi good. Car park.
A vegetarian cooked breakfast might be a good addition.

We only stayed one night, but I was very impressed with the services offered. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. Our breakfast was a delight with so many choices. I totally recommend it.

Spotlessly clean and comfortable, and in a lovely quiet location with gorgeous flowers around the exterior of the buildings. Lovely warm welcome from Lisa. Breakfast selection was superb.

Fabulous location and spotlessly clean. Was nice to have a communal lounge area where we could meet up with our friends who were also staying. Plenty of parking. Great choice for breakfast and all freshly cooked.

Breakfast was excellent, bed was comfortable but a bit short as i am 6ft slept corner to corner. walk in shower was good, liked the smoking facility at the back. Only used it twice though.

Very comfy bed, lovely shower, plenty of quality toiletries. The communal lounge and outside space was really nice. Great location by the village green. Lovely supply of teas and coffees in the room. Spacious room.
Although we ordered breakfast the night before and specified a time for breakfast there was a wait of over 30 mins for our food this was a bit of a shame as we were on a tight schedule and it meant we ended up rushing what would have been a lovely meal.

Probably one of the best bed and breakfast “breakfasts” I’ve had in a long while. All freshly cooked with a huge choice. I opted for the Eggs Benedict which were supremely executed with a silky Hollandaise and chive garnish. My partners omelette was again textbook while my father-in-law had the full English cooked to perfection. Bedrooms super clean and well appointed with nice firm mattresses and lovely luxury towels in the bathroom. Very high attention to detail.

Really well equipped comfortable rooms with some beautiful extra touches. Breakfast was lovely, pick it the night before as much as you want to choose. Dining room has a lovely atmosphere and is very well equipped. There is a guest lounge you are welcome to use and tea and coffee to help yourself. Highly recommend and Lisa is a great host

Absolutely spotless rooms. Great facilities. Friendly and welcoming staff. Wonderful breakfast! Only wished I had booked a longer stay. I can't wait to come back. I would rate this 11/10 if I could.
