Good choice for solo travelers working online

Good internet, nice area, you can meet a lot of new friends there, good coffee from the bar

Damp smell in the room, also I had stomach troubles after eating yogurt bowl for the breakfast (my friend from the hostel had the same problem the same day after the same food)

Good location if you surf

Great location by a surfing beach, nice restaurants and cafes nearby but quieter than the town. Helpful with organising transport and fixing things

Room wasn’t cleaned properly, people talking outside is quite loud in the room. Water was very patchy

Super fun and comfortable stay.

Perfect location! Close to the beach and Trax. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. The building itself is pretty, filled with plants and cute decor. Staff were beyond helpful and very accommodating. Would definitely revisit if we’re back in ahangama. A perfect fit for friend groups travelling casually. (Plus points for the adorable dogs!)

Bathroom fixtures had some issues in all 3 rooms. Menu is restricted (possibly due to us travelling during off season) but wasn’t too much of an issue as it is central to other restaurants.

Very nice hostel for backpackers!

My stay at Mellow Hostel was very nice. I really much liked the awesome terrace-balcony with view to the beach. The single bedroom was comfy and it was very clean. Air con was available. The owners were very friendly and helpful, always had a smile in their face. The hostel is just 40m away from the beach. Although my stay was during off-season (July), I could reach a Café and some delicious takeaway nearby (within 800m). I recommend to book this lovely place.

So fun!

The room was really nice and comfortable and the hostel had a great vibe with awesome views. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Overall fantastic value!

We visited during the off season but that's not the hostel's fault! Only thing to fault is the cleanliness in the kitchen but really nothing to complain about at that price point and bearing in mind all the great things.

Cheap, comfy beds in great location

Beds are really comfy, quiet AC, price is good, location excellent. During our stay it was quiet during the night which was great. They have a nice co-work room (that we didn't use but looked good). 30 second walk to the beach. Easy check in.

Mosquito nets doesn't cover the bed (doesn't reach the floor), quite dirty, no towels which I think is fine for the price but then it shouldn't say it is included when you book. Breakfast was just very lame. No tea or coffee offered (not even for added price), nothing like the insta photos for sure, and staff could definitely be more helpful here. The place looks a bit forgotten with tall grass and dog poo. Can imagine it's better in high season

Exceptional

The staff is amazing, super friendly and making sure you have a wonderful experience. The hostel is lovely designed and has a nice structure, so you always meet and interact with other travelers. Yoga classes, events and community dinners make it easy to connect. The Co-working space is great and has an AC. The food in the restaurant is a bit pricy, but veryyy tasty. Depending on where you want to surf, the location is either perfect (Kabalana) or further down the road, but just a quick tuktuk drive away. I spent around a month at Mellow and I enjoyed every day <3

I was super happy about the communal kitchen, especially because a lot of accomodations don´t have one and if you travel longer time, it´s a biiig plus :) The equipment could be a bit richer though and a little bit nicer designed, so you actually want to spent more time cooking.

the toilet wasn’t clean enough, you shared in the dorms with 8 people one toilet and one shower at the same place sometimes you need to wait a bit

Amazing place in the beautiful and rexaled Ahangama.

We loved our stay at Mellow, really welcoming and relaxed place with amazing food, located in from of a great beach and surf break and the restaurant food is delicious. The room had aircon and fan and a great shower with warm water. We loved it so much we actually went back there again to spend a few more days before we left the country. 100% recommend!

Perfect spot for some beach days!

Perfect hostel if you wanna be close to the beach! I loved the daily Yoga sessions

A bit far from Ahanghama with ATMs etc but still duable by walking.

Stuff great, very clean, beautiful place. The owner such a great guy. Some nice food in the place if you are lazy to explore the restaurants around.

Just the road between the beach and the hostal. So busy and a bit scary sometimes.

awesome location and super staff! right across the beach with an awesome garden. also the reception was helpful, they found me a taxi last minute to the airport, which was very very good, otherwise I would have missed sky flight. big hugs to the staff!

Really is the best hostel, designed for socialising and with no pretence. Couldn’t recommend this place enough especially if travelling solo

A very decent place to stay.

One of the best surf spots of the area is right across the street. Bathroom was really clean and fully operational. Wifi was pretty fast and stable.

Air-condition was not working properly, needed service but was ok for me, there was no reason to use it. I guess when it's hot it will be working properly.

Location is close to the beach. People who stayed there were friendly.

There was an extra bed on the floor in the 6-bed dorm. When I said I paid for a 6 bed dorm they told me it wasn't going to happen that night, they took the bed out. Manager was not welcoming and friendly (even rude) when checking in. Dorm was really dark, bit messy and very humid and hot at night (even though there was AC, didn't do much apparently). Busy hostel with lots of noise. Also hear the road when in the garden.
