Queens Rooms

A great location for exploring the surrounding areas. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious.

I can't think of anything negative.

Location, cleanliness, price

The arm chair which I sat in to watch TV was comfortable. The bed was comfortable. The Queens Rooms is next to the main line railway station so very convenient for catching an early train. It is a short walk to Tesco. The provision of tea and coffee was generous. Although it was nearly a year since my previous visit the wifi reconnected automatically.

The remote control for the TV did not work. This was remedied by the host. One of the lights did not work. One of the electric shower settings did not work resulting in a poor flow of water. A hair dryer would have been welcome. My room was on the top floor

Outside the rooms looked dejected. Entering the reception area was grotty and not really inviting. All carpets were bran new which was nice The room itself number 1 was quite a surprise. Large room, airy bright clean and very comfortable. Provisions of milk tea Coffee was good , also a bonus packet of porridge which was very enjoyable . Also crockery and cutlery were at hand in case you had takeaway. It is an on going project and I am sure given time and money it will reach the standard needed but for now it is a good base to stay. Near to the main rail connection . Very good carpark and a very reasonable price.
