We had a lovely stay and would happily come back. The property really did feel like a home from home — cosy, comfortable and very well equipped.
The bed was extremely comfortable, and the large bath and decent shower over the bath were a real bonus after busy days exploring Cornwall. The kitchen had everything we needed, and I have to say the oven was actually better than the one we have at home! There was also a washing machine, tumble dryer and washing line, which was really useful.
We loved all the thoughtful touches, particularly the welcome cream tea and the welcome pack with local restaurant menus and information. There was a great selection of books, DVDs and games too, which made it feel like somewhere you could genuinely settle into rather than just a holiday rental.
The property was spotlessly clean and even had cleaning products provided, which was a lovely touch. We also really appreciated the clear information about recycling — Cornwall really does take recycling seriously!
Outside, the garden and pond area were beautiful and clearly very well maintained. Parking was easy and convenient, and despite the property being in a lovely peaceful and quiet location, it was still really easy to get to the main routes for exploring the area.
The property matched the photographs perfectly — if anything, we thought it was even nicer in real life. The hosts live next door, with their in-laws in the neighbouring property, but we still had complete privacy and never felt overlooked or disturbed.
A particular bonus for us was being able to bring our birds with us. Finding accommodation that allows them isn’t easy, so this made a huge difference to our holiday.
A couple of very minor niggles
The only things we could really mention are that we weren’t particularly keen on the taste of the Cornish tap water — although obviously that’s absolutely nothing to do with the property! 😂
The toilet was also quite noisy when flushed, so I avoided flushing it during the night as I didn’t want to wake my partner. It’s a very minor thing and certainly didn’t spoil our stay.
Overall, we had a fantastic week and felt very comfortable here. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into making the property welcoming, comfortable and well equipped. We’d definitely recommend it to others and would happily stay here again.

The Cottage was very clean and well equipped. It had everything you needed. The garden was safe and secure for our dog to run around, with lovely views of the countryside.
The location was a great base for discovering both coasts of Cornwall.
I would definitely recommend it and I would stay there again if in the area.
The location of The Old Granary is up a single track road, which wasn't easy if you met another vehicle...but luckily this seems a quiet road, so not too much of an issue.

Excellent location with a beautiful garden and an amazing pond, very peaceful and quiet. The cottage is very clean and well equipped, truly a home away from home! We will definitely be returning, we really enjoyed the entire time spent there! I genuinely cannot recommend it enough!
