Hotel Waldsee

Insgesamt habe ich meinen Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Besonders die schön gestaltete Sauna, die gemütlichen Zimmer und der traumhafte Frühstücksraum mit Blick auf den See haben mich begeistert. Auch der direkt angrenzende Badesee lädt zum Entspannen und Schwimmen ein. Die Lage des Hotels ist besonders schön und die angenehme, ruhige Atmosphäre sorgt dafür, dass man sich sofort wohlfühlt.

Kleinere Verbesserungen wären bei der Matratze und dem Duschkopf wünschenswert, insgesamt überwiegen jedoch die positiven Eindrücke deutlich.

Nett am See gelegen, Abholung des Schlüssels aus der Box hat gut funktioniert.

Es sind leider bis spät nachts ständig Gäste gekommen und die waren nicht besonders leise. Schade das es abends kein Essen gab. Es stand hier das es einen Föhn gibt, aber leider gab es keinen. Ich habe hier auf booking keine Antwort auf meine Fragen erhalten und nochmal angerufen und dann erst erfahren wie ich einchecke.

Schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, kein echter Hotelbetrieb, Kein Aufzug

The owner/manager is very polite and welcoming. The location of the hotel is really nice, on a secluded small lake, far from the crowds. The hotel retains an appealing classical style, but has been renovated inside. Especially the restaurant with view of the lake is gorgeous. Large convenient parking around the property.

The single room I was given differed substantially from what was in the pictures on booking.com. It was small even for British standards, with no working table, a miniaturized wardrobe, and a partly outdated bathroom. Apparently no elevator in the building. It is true that the wellness is vaguely associated to a ‘tax’ on booking.com. However, I find 10 Euros for a stay of less than 40 minutes with the need to reserve in advance is definitely too much, also considering the wellness is basically a simple (yet nice) sauna. This was charged at checkout, having known it in advance I would have declined. All in all, considering the quality of the room, the wellness and breakfast not included in the fare, to my experience the overall quality for the price is not very good, compared to other hotels in the region.
