I'm rating Seven Stars as excellent as I'm so very impressed with the kindness and honesty I received from them. A couple of days before my stay there I received a call to say that due to a plumbing issue they could no longer offer me the room I'd booked but has found me a room in a nice B&B just a couple of doors down the road and that I was still very welcome to use the Seven Stars facilities such as the swimming pool. I was only staying overnight but really appreciated this. When I arrived, I received a great welcome from Seven Stars staff and was escorted and introduced to my B&B host. The B&B accommodation was also excellent. It was an outstanding and encouraging demonstration of community in Hay-on-Wye and I felt so well looked after. Thank you.

Very central location good parking and a small relaxing pool. A good variety for breakfast.
Decor. was tired and in need of updating. Pool towels would have been beneficial.

Breakfast was ok
Small room, noisy, uncomfortable bed, awful shower. False advertising - the picture advertising is a completely different building - Hay castle, not the Seven Stars.
