Hotel do Parque

Just outside the Sanctuary of BOM Jesus do Monte. English and continental breakfast included. Tiny cooler in the room. Free parking, if you are devout, you wouldn't mind the tolling of church bells, and on Saturdays at the right time, it is a musical feast with the church bells. The restaurant Panorâmico is at the Hotel do Elevador just opposite ours.

No kettle in the room for a cup of tea and I don't like calling the reception. Beware of the shower which could be very slippery. To enter the sanctuary vicinity, there is a payment of one euro and we could have it refunded at the hotel reception desk. But after 7pm, the barrier may not work and no receipt was given. But for a few euros, we didn't bother. The bottom of the full length mirror is cracked at the bottom.

Location was fabulous for us. Our room 220 was huge and very comfortable.

The pillows were soft, no idea what they were filled with? I usually take my own, but unfortunately on this trip I didn’t. Also, there was no electric tea kettle in the room.

The best views of Braga, you will remember it. The hotels is newly refurbished and the staff is outstanding. Great value of money

we were travelling as a couple on our anniversary weekend away, the room was a double but they just pushed two twin beds together! This is not what I’d call a double. There was no bathroom as such just a shower cubicle and a separate toilet cubicle. The shower was hand held so not even a real shower. I think small details make all the difference. The breakfast was ok but the coffee was literally the most disgusting thing I’ve ever had. Instant coffee out of a machine. This is so surprising to see in a 4 star hotel. I would give this hotel 2 stars, there are a lot of improvements needed.
