Good

Location was good and the hotel was very clean throughout.

There was no way of getting food or drinks until 3pm each day when the bar opened except from breakfast. Because we arrived early we couldn't check in early so had to get changed etc. In the toilets but then as soon as we were done was then informed our room was ready. Could have told us as they knew where we were. Or think about keeping a room or space for guests to get ready in on occasions when they arrive before check in as we had travelled a long way from London.

Quiet place for good value

Quiet place out of the city centre, surrounded by green. Maybe more suitable for guests with own car. Room was large and in my opinion equipted above standard (ironing, kettle for preparing tea), Very good selection for the breakfast.

Set on beautiful grounds. Staff were very attentive & friendly..

Very strong musty smell in bar. Bed was very uncomfortable. Breakfast was buffet style & while there was a good selection, the food was only luke warm.

No restaurant, which was indicated at time of booking, only alternative was a takeaway or taxi to restaurant (did not have own car). Takeaway could be consumed in the bar, but no other customers in the bar. All public areas, restaurant, bar, lobby could do with refurbishment to bring up to rooms standard.

Friendly staff but hotel wasn't great.

Damien at check in, gardens and location.

Hotel was generally in need of a good fresh coat of paint, twin room was small and pillows not comfortable. Generally the hotel was very dated and needs a bit of work. Very disappointed that the pool and restaurant was closed but when I looked at the hotel website this was clearly identified. Breakfast was not good. Met Damien on arrival at the check on desk and he was very nice.

We found our accommodation of good standard.

A very nice appearing hotel in attractive grounds in a quiet setting. The room was pleasant, breakfast was of good fare, no hot food and staff courteous and helpful over our one night stay.

As there was only breakfast supplied and being too tired to go out to eat at night, it would have been really appreciated if some sort of prepared cold snack foods could have been purchased.

I would stay again just for location and comply bed!

location was perfect for having flown into Dublin , renting car and heading 28 miles north. staff was so helpful!

noisy crows wake you up at 5:30 am.
