The breakfast is great with lots of choices and the personnel is really nice and helpful.
We were surprised about a few things when considering it is rated as a 4 star hotel:
- 2 days of restdays or ' ruhetag' on Sunday/ monday. Which meant a hotel that has no service for a restaurant, bar, terrace. A dark and empty hotel at 20.00u.
- the bar or lounge area were nice with comfortable chairs and ideal for us to read a bit. However it was dark and therefor not inviting, (you have to switch the lights on yourselves), and no personnel. You have to ask for a drink at the reception . They were very helpful. Also other guests asked us how/where to get drinks. One feels a bit lost.
- the hotel is in a beautiful forest and nature setting. The music in the longe was however a local (rock) station with regular news and traffic updates (!!) it felt like a mismatch with the serene setting. Spotify has great lounge or classical music tracks and this could easily be improved.
- the lighting in the swimmingpool was also limited. Not possible to read a book or so, and as there was no personnel around we were not able to find the switches A pity as the swimming pool itself was nice.
