Idyllic location. The view from the pool area across the roofs of the old town with the mountains beyond is so beautiful and tranquil. Charming and helpful staff.

Beautifully restored old confident with lots of furniture, paintings, and other relics from when it was used as a convent. The room itself is slightly Spartan to fit the convent atmosphere, but very large. Bathroom was redesigned in the most modern way, the only slight downside was the bed was pretty hard. Breakfast was nice stuff was great. Consider that there are a lot of steps up and down inside the hotel and getting to it from the parking.

The property is a unique and historic gem in an idyllic location. Being a former convent, it exudes an aura of peace surrounded by nature. Views of the famed Christ Redeemer statue are everywhere. The friendly staff welcomed us with a refreshment and provided details about the amenities, as well as an excellent dinner recommendation. My room was lovely and quiet, with an outdoor patio that overlooked the fairytale-like town. The pool area is its crowning jewel -- relaxing, beautiful with spectacular mountain views. I enjoyed the satisfying breakfast buffet, with eggs made to order. The walk to town takes barely 10 minutes. Being a mountain town, there are uneven steps and inclines. So normal caution is advised. I also loved being surrounded by the hotel's tasteful collection of antiques and folkloric art. La Locanda is ideal for rest and rejuvenation.
