Beautiful and confortable place but the restaurant quite bad.

Everything was good except some of the meals that took to long

Some meals took more than an hour to get on the table.

Great location, food, and friendly staff. Good backpacker hotel, would have liked more in my 20’s.

Great location and pool. Friendly and responsive staff. Great breakfast.

Uncomfortable beds, extremely old towels and sheets. Massage wasn’t that great.

we like the monkeys and the natural pool

nice property. we got to see monkeys. they have a natural lagoon inside the property.

property over 50 years need updating. in our first room ac did not work so we have to be move. Fire alarm when off in the middle of the night without cause. staff remove it next day. tv too small with a very limited channel option. did not have a shower head in the bathroom

The location at the river and the trees around, ……..

Aircon was 20 years old, cockroaches in the bathroom, sheets on every bed made out of plastic, the smallest water bottles I have ever seen, staff tried to urge us wearing swim wests in knee high water! Hardly anybody did speak English. And on top of all extreme loud music at the pool and in the bar.

Nice Hotel

- the pool was lovely - the breakfast was delicious - the nearby lake was stunning - staff made a box lunch instead of the breakfast since we had to leave early in the morning

- be prepared at the poolside bar as you need to pay there as you cannot charge it to your room

Pleasant

The location is great right at the entrance of Palenque (coming from yaxillian and bonampak). We were very happy that we didn't have to drive trough the city centre anymore after a long day. Secure parking.

For a 4 star hotel I expected more. Wifi was not good, shower wasn't great and the airco was extremely loud. At the restaurant the waiter added his own tip. We paid it but were quite shocked bij this. My food also only arrived once my partner was already finished...

Interesting hotel in nature

The hotel is quite out of the way which means its surrounded by jungle and plenty of wildlife. Spidermonkeys and agoutis are frequent but you can also hear howler monkeys (not so nice but very interesting). The pool has a bar and food service. Both are pretty decently priced. Rooms are of a decent size. Staff are very helpful and nice.

The included breakfast is very light on food, barely a meal.

A jungle paradise with several amenities

The grounds were stunningly beautiful. I saw monkeys, an iguana and other wildlife while I was there. I enjoyed the pool and the poolside food service. I was traveling with my husband, my mother-in-law and my father-in-law. They had a luggage porter who took our luggage to the rooms. This was very helpful for my in-laws. I was glad the hotel was able to accommodate a first floor room for my in-laws. I liked the river bathing area. We were able to see fish and kayak in a designated area. We also enjoyed the massage services and appreciated the dependable wi-fi.

I wasn't the biggest fan of the breakfast. I would have liked hashbrowns at least one day. They advertise it as an American breakfast, and most have hashbrowns, sausage or bacon. We were there for 2 breakfast days and neither of those items were served. They did have eggs, which were mixed w ham. I would have appreciated some eggs with no meat as an option. Now that I think about it, it may have been an option, but I didn't ask. It wasn't featured on the buffet.

Jungle resort

It was nice that, next to the pool, you could swim in the river. The restaurant was nice for dinner. The location in the jungle just outside town with gardens full of butterflies, gekkos, iguanas and capibaras was great.

The breakfast wasn't that big in choice. The double beds are very small (130cm) in the double rooms.

Quiet place

Nice room with views over a well maintained garden. There are two pools (a natural near the restaurant and one at the hotel) and a jacuzzi. The jacuzzi is a bit cold. There’s breakfast included in the room. The options for dinner are OK but not too fancy. Free parking on site.

Great location, good food good value

On-site restaurant had fabulous food with a beautiful overlook on a river. They even had a gluten free cake which is hard to find. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are large, comfortable beds, close to parking and hotel is close to lots of restaurants and shopping.

The hot tub was cold!!!

Staff was great. Location beside the river is very nice.

They advertised free WIFI. I would never have stayed here if we had known that the WIFI does NOT work in the room and in order to catch internet, you have to hunt it down and we found it best in the restaurant. False advertising regarding WIFI. For that reason I would not stay again.

Fantastic Hotel, Great Service, Good food. We will be back.

We loved the friendly staff, good activity recommendations, hot showers with fantastic pressure, the peaceful jungle-like environment(broken up by the sounds of howler monkeys the last morning we were there, which was pretty cool by the way). Comfortable beds, nice restaurant with great coffee and beautiful views. In yhe last day we left early and they set up some coffee for the group, very nice. We will be back but longer next time so we can explore. Great value for dollar.

There wasn't too much negative to say, only minor criticism or suggestions. The hottub was the coldest pool on the property, that should really have hot water. 🔥 The checkout statement should be explained better, as there was some confusion. The restaurant has good food but should be consistenly good to be great. The room towels, should be upgraded. The rooms are comfy, beds comfy and then out of a hot shower to rough, terrible towels. But overall these are minor issues and I still rate my stay about a 10.

The hotel itself is pretty old. The showers run onto the bathroom floors and flood the whole area. all the linens and towels are thread bare.Hot water intermittent. Very mediocre.
