The hotel is based in a beautiful cave. Perfect spot for chilling and discovering the south part of the island with a few charming taverns around. The owners and staff in the hotel are super kind and friendly, always willing to help with anything you need. Also, they offer an exceptional breakfast, that’s unbeatable.

Emporios Bay in Chios far exceeded our expectations - truly a hidden jewel of a family run hotel. From our first communication by phone from the United States, we knew we were in good hands,. Traveling with four adults and two children; ages 6 and baby 8 months, we wanted to be sure we could accommodate the baby with a crib. They assured us not to worry a crib would be waiting for us and it was. The hotel is meticulously kept up daily, facility is immaculate, rooms air conditioned and very comfortable. The staff warm, very friendly, and graciously responded to any of our needs. The well maintained pool was an added plus, and the daily breakfast exceptional; great variety of selections and some homemade extra treats! It is a "10 star island hotel" and we would definitely return, I might add we have been traveling to the Greek islands for over 40 years so we have had many experiences with island hotels- Emporios Bay definitely will not disappoint for sure!
To be honest, nothing could be better! Chios is a big island and not really a tourist destination, so to find such a gem of a hotel, near to our family who we were visiting on this occasion, was truly a treat!

Owner and staff were very friendly and helpful in suggesting areas to visit. Beds were comfortable; hotel is very close to village center, ocean and beaches. Very secluded.
Bathroom was very, very small. Pool had a green algae ring around the bottom. Getting hot water out of the faucet took about 8 minutes.

Hotel was clean, breakfast was quite nice with lots of preferences, it is close to nice beaches.
