If you follow the road down into the old center, you will get a nice peaceful view of many of the old homes up on the hill - it's only about a 15-20 min walk.
It is located right next to a mosque, so if you are not used to the call to prayer, be sure to ask away for a room that this a little more tucked away.

We really like this warm and vintage room. It’s a way to experience local accommodation by living in this hotel. They also offer big Turkish breakfast which is always meet my type.
There’s little strange smelling of the toilet. But it doesn’t really matters!

This accommodation was in the centre of Safranbolu (not the historical centre, it was around 20 minutes walking from that). When we arrived, the stuff was a bit indifferent, and that was the case for all our stay. Probably, they didn't talk English. The hotel was old, but also had a traditional feeling.
The bathroom was dirty. When we arrived in the room, the shower/bathroom-all in one- was wet all over, with some hair on the floor. Except the dirt, the actual bathroom's floor, apparently never dries completely, so the smell of mold was can be explained. Turning on and off the lights was a bit tricky. It took us some time searching to figure that out.
