View of course, the food, spotless accom!

Stunning location

At this price,this lodge should offer other included activities ...eg. should one need to pay for a sunset viewpoint drive?

Getting there will require a full on 4X4 vehicle preferably with big wheels. Recent rains have played havoc with the gravel roads! The view is unprecedented and this place is the only lodge on the canyon rim. It was nice to just go for a walk around the rim but there are guided tours to the canyon floor, which you can't do without a guide. If it's hot and you want to sleep outside, the staff will bring a mattress to fit on the concrete slab next to your room. It's a great place to stargaze and the lighting outside the rooms is with red bulbs so as not to detract from the sky. Food was excellent, but if you have a large appetite you'll be looking forward to breakfast!

Septic tank smells were very evident if the wind (pun intended) was blowing from certain directions.

Views are breathtaking!

Cold water day and night despite staff supposedly sorting it out..?! Room 8 where we stayed badly cracked inside and outside- work in progress. Not worth the money spent, rather repair 100% before letting it out! BEWARE: Roads are terrible only accessible by 4x4 due to floods - apparently worst in 3 years! Check the weather before departing!
