We were delighted with the apartment from the first moment of arrival. Anieck, our host, welcomed us and showed us round and answered any questions we had. She is a very lovely person and her attention to detail is excellent. The little touches mean so much when you are travelling and along with a welcome gift the kitchen was very well supplied with basics such as oil and condiments and there was plenty of cooking utensils etc. The apartment is small but very spacious considering space is at a premium in the Netherlands. It was spotlessly clean and it was lovely to have a separate bathroom, kitchen, bedroom and living room and it was very cosy. We loved the private outside terrace and on sunny days we took advantage of it to have a sit or a drink, it is very sheltered so we didn't get the wind from the beach. The pictures on the internet do not do it justice as there are bright and colourful paintings and bits and pieces in the apartment. The location is excellent, minutes from the train station, the town and the beach. Despite the central location it was extremely quiet and we slept very well. We had a lovely experience and I cannot compliment Anieck enough on being a perfect host, very unobtrusive and very kind. We would not stay anywhere else in Zandvoort when we return.
Nothing. It was ideal for our requirements. We have stayed in Zandvoort and Amsterdam many times and this was by far the best property we have stayed in. The warmth of the welcome added to this and the knowledge that nothing at the end of the day was too much trouble added very much to our holiday.
