La Colina Hotel Cottage

Super cute place! We only stayed for one night and came from the airport and to the airport the next day so we didn’t see anything of location around. But the cottage was amazing, food was incredible and the staff lovely!

Super homey atmosphere. Large room with large comfy bed and great shower. Fun artwork everywhere. Cosy dining area with our welcome dinner by an open wood fire. Owners very helpful. Staff exceptionally warm and generous with great service. Wonderful quiet location away from the bustle of the city centre.

Depending on traffic it takes 40-80 minutes to reach La Colina from the city centre, but for us it was a price well worth paying in order to have all the advantages named above. The property's own transport is more expensive - stick with Uber.

A real charming place with excellent food options. The breakfast was great. The lunch and dinner options were home cooked and delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful.

All good. No complaints.

it's secluded and if you're looking to get out of the city, this is definitely the place. also, the restaurant is fantastic and Carmen, the chef is so delightful and friendly and lovely and an incredible chef!

Well, I think all of the other reviews made my expectations far too high because I didn't really experience most of the things they noted. The lodge was definitely not a chain hotel or Airbnb, which was very refreshing and why I booked it, but I didn't realize how small the quarters would be and how the music and the voices would carry all throughout the compound. To back up, I checked-in and no one really introduced themseves to me. (Again, this is completely fine, it's just that based on other reviews I thought it I was going to be warmly greeted by the whole fam- when in fact only the owner's mother was around, and she was lovely and nice. And then I guess the owners arrived later that day, and they didn't really introduce themselves to me either when I was sitting there (hence why I did not know they were the owners) but I left for my room shortly thereafter, and they did text me immediately when I asked if I could change to a room that's more quiet. Federico was attentive and moved me to a farther room away from the kitchen ( fyi- the music played until 11pm. (N.B. The moment I walked into the first very small room a couple doors down from the kitchen, I could hear every single pin drop in the kitchen and dining room, so I immediately and very politely asked how late the music would be playing. The owner's mother was very sweet and just asked me what time I wanted to go to sleep. I didn't know how to communicate that I didn't want to hear it AT ALL, not just when I go to sleep so I kind of just blew it off and she turned it down for a spell until maybe an hour or so ). Later it was turned up to the previous volume, which I could still heai very clearly and loudly from the new room. I know many people may like pop music, so I guess I understand if that was the crowd they are trying to attract, but it was actually my worst nightmare to have to be subjected to pop music all morning and day and evening.
