The location was so handy for going into the center of Florence by bus! We had an incredible view of Florence from our hotel room window! The breakfast was delicious and the chef very friendly! It was like staying in a real Italian villa!

The staff is fabulous. They are very helpful. The daily breakfast was very good. The accommodations need to be updated. The hotel was a monastery at one time. Our room had a beautiful large patio. Only a few rooms have patios. There weren't any chairs to sit on in the room. You needed to use the bed. TV was not working and very small. The hotel is on a long winding road. You need to taxi to your destinations. Taxi rates range from $25-40.00 each way to Florence. There are a few delicious and reasonable restaurants in the area of Fiesole . You can walk a back road to get there from the hotel. It takes about 15-20 minutes. The area is very pretty.
No air conditioning. TV didn't work and was very small. They have an elevator, but if you're not ambulatory there are still a couple of sets of stairs after you get off the elevator.
