Great hostel, nice staff and owner! Beautiful clean rooms and I would definitely recommend taking the surf lessons as well.

The staff who work for Afei are so kind and helpful. I met loads of nice people at the hostel which was also great, and l had a really great weekend there because of these things.
Although the surf lesson with Afei was good, in general I found his demeanour towards guests quite uncomfortable. There were issues with the hostel/hotel not recording correctly when people had paid money, and then Afei could publicly accuse people of not paying (when they had) in front of other guests.
He also made comments about some of the young women there being 'beautiful' amongst other suggestive comments that were uncomfortable and not what you would want when you stay at a hotel.
