The mailbox was hidden behind a chair, we looked for a very long time and it was frustrating. If the instructions had just hold us where to find the mailbox with the keys it would have saved us much time as it was after 8pm when we arrived

The apartment was spacious, clean and very well-appointed. There was a lovely view across the valley. The apartments are in a number of traditional-style wooden buildings across a farm site - thre is also a hostel with dormitories. This was our most expensive stay in Norway but seemed to be good value for Flam.
No fault of the property but there is an unsightly field of gravel, machinery and containers nearby. The apartments are shielded by a hedge so once there the view is unspoiled.

Beautiful location with views of the surrounding mountains, about a 15 minute walk from the train/boat station. Highland cows grazing outside the patio. Very friendly and helpful reception staff, easy to collect key. Staff offered a shuttle service but we didn't need it. Apartment was clean and pleasant enough though on the basic side. Shower worked well. We didn't really use the kitchen equipment but everything seemed fine. Table and chairs inside, and another set outside. Ideal for our one-night stay but not luxurious.
We were expecting a double bed but got two very narrow singles instead, however they were comfy enough. There was a double sofa bed in the lounge which was not set up as we booked for only 2 people.
