The location was good.
The place is very dated and not the most comfortable bedding, even with the uneven mix of pillow sizes available to us. A surprise for the price, which was comparable to higher quality properties in the region. Wi-Fi was not available in the room. The property also looked completely closed for the season (it was mid-August). We would have done better in a different town, or perhaps across the street. Our plans had us leaving very early the next morning, so we told the host politely in advance, during check-in, that we are declining breakfast. I know she was coming from a place of generosity, but she pointedly guilted us for declining breakfast at check-in and the next morning. It made us feel like we were being very insensitive to her by declining the repeated offers of breakfast after we had repeatedly, politely, declined. Perhaps it was insensitive for us to book this place and decline breakfast.
