The property was all about being a windmill and therefore expected the location to be high up from the villages and beach ( a windmill would not be situated lower down- or it would never have functioned as a windmill)! The windmill experience was incredible, we really felt we were touching a piece of worker history and just loved it. Loved the spiral stair case to take us to the bedroom and the view was just incredible- the harbour and boats from one side and the imposing castle from the other.
The proprty itself had everything you need for a stay, nothing was missing and rooms cleaned regularly with fresh linen given and there was always a space for parking.
This property and location is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues and you definitly need a car or at least a motorbike to get around ( bear in mind it requires 113 steep steps down into Pendeli and the beach if you are walking, which we did every evening and loved it). Pendeli has become very cosmopolitan with extremely afluent tourists, coming in from their very large and luxurious yachts. Pandeli is therefore expensive to eat and the tavernas are definitely no longer "traditional" but the ice cream/sweet shop is certainly worth a visit and is " value for money"! We therefore used the windmill for a "very special base" but ate out and swam at various othere places around Leros.
The windmill was superb, absolutely perfect!
Pandeli is now very cosmopolitan with very, very afluent tourists coming in from their very large and luxurious yachts. Pandeli is therefore expensive to eat and the tavernas are definitely no longer "traditional" but the ice cream/sweet shop is certainly worth a visit and is " value for mone"!

It was quant and unique. The location was good but a lot of steps up from the beach
The cleaning smell was very strong. Limited towel and no beach towels. When it was windy it was pretty unpleasant trying to sleep with the howling through the windows.
