Hotel Euromare

This property should have higher score!!! We really enjoyed our stay at Euromare Hotel. Location is perfect, only 3 minutes walk form the beach and right at the square with the best view point of the port. Lots of bars, restaurants and small shops around. Beds were really comfortable and the hotel was clean. Rooms are spacious and have AC. They offer Italian style breakfast with variety of fresh pastries, juice, biscuits, yogurt and good coffee. The hidden gem is the huge terrace that is better than any rooftop bar :) .We were honestly surprised that no one was using it, but we ended up having it only for ourselves :D. It is perfect to chill during the hot afternoons or late in it evening, have dinner or lunch takeaway or just some drinks. Wifi is also good. The property has a parking which is around 10 min walk uphill so I suggest maybe leaving the bags first and then park. We didn't mind that it was further because we didn't move a lot so we had our car safe and off the street during our stay, but if you would like to move everyday maybe it is worth finding parking a bit closer to the hotel. Lastly, I read some negative comments on the staff, but our experience was really positive. Only few people work there but they were all very nice and helpful, the girls that clean, the guy that serves breakfast and also the owner that is really one man show. He is there working all day long, he isn't the most chatty person but is very nice and trying to accommodate every need. If we return to Castro, definitely we will stay here again.

This hotels former glory doesn’t resonate today inside which is very unfortunate. The location is perfect for visiting Castro and the rooms are well cleaned although beds are rock hard (in Italy, you get used to it). Perfect for one night but for a longer stay (with kids) maybe not. I so wish someone would take it upon themselves to restore this former gem to its Art Deco origin, it looks beautiful on the outside but the inside is pure 1990:s, although the french balconies and ceiling height are there. ❤️ Do not fear the harsh welcome, the staff is old school enough to not fuss a lot with guests but is actually very nice and truly helpful if you are reasonable and polite. As you should!
