This hotel is above the famous restaurant, Gowri Krishna. It isn't easy to get parking in front of the hotel as it is in the Kumbakonam city centre and because of the renowned restaurant. I had to park my vehicle near the police station near the hotel, that road is quite big.
It is not easily visible, Google map takes you to GRT Jewellery shop, and you need to move a little further to find the hotel near the Temple Gopuram.
The room was very spacious, with clean bedsheets and a good Mitsubishi AC. The bathroom fittings were old, I have to physically stop the water to the leaking commode using the angle cork.
The shower mechanism is unique and I have not seen it anywhere even though I have travelled to many countries and across nations, it is not user friendly, you will struggle a lot to discover how it works :)
You will get good South Indian Cuisine and a memorable coffee to try if you love drip coffee at a nominal price.
1. The bathroom fittings, you can see scaling and are not clean. The shower tap was not user-friendly.
2. The commode was leaking.
3. Difficult to get parking.
4. Too crowded place as it is a market area.
5. Frequent traffic jams.
