We arrived late in the evening and were warmly greeted by Dolce the owner, who provided us with a delicious home cooked supper. She saved us the agro of going into town in search for a restaurant at such a late hour. The cottage and its surroundings was extremely cosy and charming, with lots of attention to detail. Quite remote yet close enough to reach the town within a 5 minute drive. Breathtaking natural scenery with a cool stream a stones throw away from the cottage made our trip the perfect experience. Highly recommend Casa do Tamanqueiro!

Excellent welcome from very friendly owners. The house is scrupulously clean and the enormous garden well-maintained. Plenty of room inside the house which has integral air conditioning. Good location for getting around the area by car. Nice to have a washing machine.
We found the beds a little small, hard and creaky. The noise from the nearby motorway also spoils the tranquility slightly.
