Our recharge break

We live in Valencia, Spain, and come here to Santiago de la Ribera 3 or for 4 times a year to recharge ourselves and chill out. We chose this hotel this time as it had a Pet friendly policy, they made my little dog very welcome. Central to the beach, restaurants, and plenty of free parking in the surrounding streets. The room had a great balcony with spectacular views of the sea and the paseo. Great location if you have children as there is an ice-cream parlour downstairs, a small fun fair type activity area right outside, and the beach is 10 meters away. In the off season this is closed so it is very quiet. You may also be treated to a spectacular aerial display as the Spanish Air Force Academy is based at the end of the beach. The towels were changed daily, the beds were made and the room was cleaned daily. A Spanish breakfast was available if required at a very good price.

My room had a connecting door to the next room which although it was securely locked from my side it was not light or sound proof and I could hear the occupants phone calls, tv etc very clearly because of this. The light from the next room also came into mine once I had turned off the light to sleep . My little dog didn't like it, however this would be a plus if you are a family with children as they would be close to the parents.

The hotel is located in a fabulous place next to beach👍 the hotel is very clean and the staff where great👍

Cheap but not even worth that

Great location is all. Air conditioning. Free wifi

Everything else dire. This building is straight from the 60's. pull chain toilet, water tank on bathroom ceiling and because water leaks behind basin and pipes things are rusty and brown. Toilet seat and shower curtain need throwing in bin. The tiles throughout are stained brown along edges and in corners. Staff were helpful in that they moved me to a slightly bigger room with balcony. The balcony door looked original, didn't close properly and was rusty. But the room was more or less same condition as the first. The plug sockets were loose and sometimes the bathroom light turned on sometimes it didnt. Has it ever been checked, let alone re-wired in the last 50 years? You could maybe put up with all of that but the worse is it wasn't very clean, around the loo was thick with muck, there was an old piece of loo roll stuck to the floor next to bath and the net curtains i wouldnt touch without gloves on. Bed was extremely lumpy i hated sleeping in it. I checked out and got my money back, theres no way i could stay there a week. You get what you pay for but this place needs knocking down.

Always enjoy our stay at Lido and for price you cant complain.

Location 5th time at this hotel in 3 years.

A cooked breakfast at an extra cost as only a basic continental is available, an earlier check-in would be better with making checkout earlier to allow, Other than that no complaints.

Had everything I wanted! Extremely satisfied.

We absolutely loved the beach views from our balcony. It had everything we wanted for a comfortable stay. Aircon, private bathroom and slept well every night. I really enjoyed the hotels breakfast every morning. All i wanted really: coffee was good and delicious fresh orange juice and toast with jam. All for a very good price. Friendly staff made us feel cared for and welcome.

There was only one morning when for whatever reason they forgot to give us fresh towels. But it was sorted pretty quick when I told reception. Its clear that the bathroom could do with a renovation... But everything working fine so cant complain. I wouldn't recommend drinking the water from the tap either. We got some bottles from the shop next-door and put them in the fridge in our room so they were nice and cold. If you are a TV snob, it probably isn't for you, as its quite small and basic.

Tired looking hotel

Stayed only one night before my flight to Bristol from Corvera. Nothing luxury but passable to spend a night. Nice staff also. They speak English to some extent there. Good AC.

Tired look of the hotel room. The hotel was very loud. No noise insulation. The floor was dirty. So you had to wear shoes all the time in the hotel room.

Great vacation, thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great location, fabulous beach, very helpful staff. Great view from balcony during the day.

The only complaint that I would have about this hotel and it's not the hotel's fault are the amusements right in front of the hotel. It totally spoilt the view of the sea at night and they were very noisy and very brightly lit up until at least 1pm at night. Such a shame really, other than that I would stay in this hotel again.

Unbeatable location

Fantastic location just seconds from the beach. Plenty of restaurants close by. Clean and tidy, but dated.

Facilities, especially bathroom, are very dated. Could do with updating and modernising.
