A dirty , noisy and stressful stay

I booked a Riverview apartment which was somewhat of a miss Noma as though you can see the river, it is right next to a road which is exceptionally busy 22 hours a day with beeping horns racing cars, basically I had no sleep for 10 days

No extractor fan in kitchen No toaster No fan to be turned on in bathroom Burnt toast and no smoke alarm , smoke at top of room couldn’t escape so had to sleep on sofa . Washing machine but no dryer so couldn’t use washing machine ! No tea towels, cleaner came on day 3/10 then not again Buzzing ac I had to keep switching the ac off at mains electrics . Informed owners , told to open windows , which I couldn’t because of the extremely loud traffic noise Flu lining in chimney banging in wind for two days Noise of motorbikes and music festival until 3am No handrail on open stairs - dangerous for anyone , I twice fell down the last three stairs In mezzanine bed - no bedside table or lamp , light switch by top of stairs so very dangerous No wardrobe upstairs Everything smelled of food because no extraction fan in kitchen Pluses - heard nothing from neighbours on either side . Can’t imagine how anyone could live on this roundabout so probably vacant River view is misleading , it implies tranquil . Loud traffic until 2am then from 6:30am so no sleep Spiders Flies Window handles so high up had to stand on chair to open and close . No blackout blinds or curtains Heat and sound on top mezzanine was impossible . To make it cold enough upstairs to sleep , even when only 20c daytime temps , it had to be freezing downstairs . The sound insulation in roof meant woken up repeatedly by traffic noise Zero instructions for anything in house - oven , washing machine , what to do with rubbish . So rubbish stayed for 5 days until smell so overwhelming I just took outside and left next to bin . No recycling No kitchen roll or tin foil or cling film or salt or pepper Oven dirty on arrival , microwave inside tomato sauce so not even been wiped . Shower leaks out of bottom of door frame Shower hot water control doesn’t stay static , you put it on cold and within. Seconds it’s twisted to very hot . Kettle left half full of water and lumps of limescale come out when emptied .

Would not recommend.

Apartment 28 black had a nice modern bathroom The kids liked the sand pit on the communal area WiFi was good. The one TV worked

Complicated access to properties “phone is your key” not ideal and support was very limited. All the apartments had poor cooking facilities and not enough equipment. No toaster or dishwasher in apartment 39 and no plug in sink to wash up. The cleaning before our stay was poor although the sheets and towels supplied were clean. We were disappointed and couldn’t change accommodation because we needed to be near the Nord clinic next door. The area was industrial and the traffic very heavy and noisy at night. The safety aspects were poor the windows in one apartment opened fully and the children could have easily fallen out. The cooking trays were so heavily stained they were unhygienic. We obtained foil from the hairdressers to cover the tray. One oven bleeped all week in the end we cooked in another apartment. Two of the apartment showers were temperamental in apartment 39 the controls turned round on their own. Apartment 28 red had no hot water. And the fridge drain was blocked and the bottom full of water. We could not open the patio gate to the park because the key didn’t work. The patio was also full of weeds. The Pizza place was closed. But there were some takeaways a short walk and supermarkets 10-15 mins walk. We complained mid week to booking.com and the apartment but have heard nothing.
