Very good place in the summer or spring season

The room was very spacious and the breakfast was very good! Staff was always smiling even with the bad weather which was a bit frustrating for us. The location and surroundings are very nice. A short walk to the city center where all the good restaurants and pubs are. Just be aware that if you go in winter it is very cold and a nice walk can turn into a hard walk.

The property is not designed for lower temperatures. The reception, breakfast and restaurant are outdoors. So it depends on the season you travel in or how lucky you are. We went in late January (10-12 degrees) and were freezing all the time (even in the room, which only has an A/C that doesn't heat). It must be a reaaaally nice place in summer, but in the Vietnamese winter it was harsh.

Absolut klasse!

Wir haben uns den Luxus der höchsten Zimmerkategorie gegönnt mit etwa 170€ für drei Nächte und dies hat sich absolut gelohnt! (Zimmer Name VIP2) Leider kann ich kein Video vom Zimmer hoch laden. In zwei Richtungen gab es eine volle Fensterfront mit Aussicht auf die Bucht. Ein Traum! Edles Holzdesign, gut funktionierende Klimaanlage, schöner Balkon und eine stets gefüllte Minibar. Das Personal war ebenfalls sehr nett 🫶🏼

Eigentlich gibt es keine ernsthaften Mängel. An beiden Tagen wurde vergessen uns kleine Handtücher für die Hände ins Zimmer zu legen. Diese hätten wir sicher bekommen, hätten wir danach gefragt. Ansonsten gibt es wirklich nichts auszusetzen. Wenn wir in der Hauptsaison da gewesen wären, wäre ein Pool, noch die Perfektion gewesen. Haben wir in der Off Saison aber nicht vermisst.

Une pause dans un magnifique endroit à deux pas de la plage

La situation de l’hôtel, près d’une plage et face à la mer avec sa terrasse au soleil couchant. La réception et le personnel très a l’écoute. Un endroit qui marque!

Short stop in Cat Ba

Good location, walking distance from the centre of Cat Ba Town Family room is big Super helpful staff, prepared good breakfast even though we missed the breakfast time

The family room is close to the kitchen so one can smell cooking.

Het beste verblijf voor Cat Ba!

Net buiten het stadje gelegen aan de kop van de baai. Zeer net hotel, prima ontbijt (van de kaart in laag seizoen). de kamers zijn nieuw gebouwd dit voorjaar, dus erg schoon. Het uitzicht is prachtig. Gelegen bij een strand (4min lopen).

Mocht je slecht ter been zijn dan kunnen de trappen wat tegenvallen. Er is wel een golfkarretje dat op en neer rijdt naar het stadje (prijs onbekend).

Tolle Lage mit super Ausblick - Frühstück ist ein NoGo

Geniale Lage direkt am Wasser mit Ausblick auf die Bay. Schöner Empfang mit einer Tasse Tee.

Das Frühstück lässt zu wünschen übrig. Kaum Auswahl. Personal steht nur rum und labert.

Nice for the view

The view is really Nice! The breakfast is good, they do pancakes for you if you ask for them. The restaurant has also pool which is free and You get a discount staying there.

Toilet and towels were not clean.

Tu devrais le nettoyer avant de venir

J'entends des insectes la nuit. Il est accroché à la tête de lit de ma chambre. Je n'ai pas pu dormir toute la nuit avec. La chambre dégage une odeur très désagréable après la douche. c'est tellement horrible.

Overall, pretty good!

They upgraded us to a bigger room with a nice view. The restaurant has a great panoramic view where you can watch sunset. Free pool table. Helpful staff.

Food was ok but not great. Smell of the bathroom.

Bữa sáng rất đầy đủ. Có cả nc hoa quả và cafe. Phòng rất đẹp và sạch sẽ. Cái cảm giác buổi sáng thức dậy mở cửa phòng và nhìn ra biển nó mới tuyệt vời làm sao. Phải nói là số 1 việt nam luôn

Kỳ nghỉ quá tuyệt vời khi được trải nghiệm dịch vụ ở đây..

Chỗ nghỉ có view quá tuyệt vời , không gian đẹp , thoáng mát , ban công nhìn toàn cảnh vịnh trung tâm .. nhân viên phục vụ nhiệt tình , đồ ăn ngon , phải nói là đưa gia đình đi chơi book được phòng có vị trí quá đẹp mà giá lại quá tốt ..

Lovely stay

Lovely balcony and view. I booked a sea view bungalow room and everuthing is perfect. It’s clean, new, large and comfortable. Highly recommend the room. Restaurant is delicious and reasonable too

Lovely wee spot

It was a beautiful spot only a short walk to the city centre and a short walk to the beach. Right in the middle of both so perfect. Also the staff were lovely, very helpful.

The hostel hosts parties and on both nights they had quite loud groups in. So not the best when ur trying to relax. Also they have construction going on right now and for quite a while, right in front of the hostel so not great with the noise. But if ur going to be up early and back late it shouldn't bother u.

Amazing location and very close to the nicest beach around and great service at reception.

beautiful views all around the property, close location to nice beach, easy motorbike rental, convenient laundry service, VIP 1 room has nice patio overlooking the water. The staff at the reception desk was wonderful, they helped us with all of our questions and with booking tours and transportation.

mattresses were very hard. we moved rooms a couple times and eventually we had a nice room, but the first we were given was very run down. had to tell the receptionist that we had no hot water then they turned it on. breakfast options are very limited.

it was alright

the view was amazing, good location, not much more

The food was not good at all, the only staff members that were helping and kind were the owner and a super nice girl named Ha. Room was okay, a little dirty and the bed was hard. (casa bonita was good for food)

We had a great stay here and absolutely loved the view from this homestay. Good breakfast too!

Amazing location! We absolutely loved the view and watching the sunset. The restaurant and bar are excellent too, and there's a great breakfast included in the price. I would definitely recommend this place for your stay in Cat Ba!

The bathroom isn't that nice, but besides that we liked the room!

unique ambience and character make this place a level above

beautiful view . very good value for the money. the staff was great in helping us plan last minute excursions. the drinks were good and super cute. they rent motor bikes right there and rent them at great prices. definitely recommend this place. it is super cute and has a unique inviting character about it. happy traveling

A complete joke for a hotel this expensive

The view is nice but that's it. It's only a 10 minute walk from cat ba center, so if you want to enjoy the view you can simply walk to the bar for a drink.

Very disappointed : - staff was completely unhelpful and quite rude (can I have a glass of juice with my breakfast? Answer : no) - very poor hygiene : room ceiling was dropping tons of water, we were invaded by ants during a night who came on the bed and bit my partner all over her body - breakfast is not at all as advertised on the pictures, this is straight up lying : no buffet, just a choice between Pho and omelette. Which is fine but that's just not what we paid for - wifi is barely working in the room, just not working half the time - mattress is very hard, hard to sleep on it

the view from the room

another hotel run by teenagers. all you are paying for is the view. prices of the beer are just made up on the spot depending who is serving you. no one has a clue. breakfast was a joke. no buffet as shown in the photos. you get given egg and baguette, one coffee and no juice what so ever. if you ask for more drinks you then get charged extra for them. avoid at all costs.
