Gostei do acolhimento que me foi dado por Leonor , sobrinha neta de Teixeira de Pascoaes , satisfazendo a minha curiosidade sobre o historial da casa familiar do poeta , escritor e filosofo de finais do sec XIX e 1º metade do sec. XX. Tive oportunidade de aceder ao espaço de quinta contíguo ao solar, de conhecer a pequena capela , e ter acesso a livros de e sobre Teixeira de Pascoaes , preciosidades que não se encontram no mercado comercial das livrarias e que permitem nos inteirar sobre a sua obra.
De ter percebido que uma Casa Histórica como esta , apenas se mantêm com o esforço da família , sendo esquecido pela entidades que deveriam contribuir para a preservação deste património edificado e imaterial .

Beautiful old manor with lots of history, with gorgeous garden and in a great setting. Only 2-3 km from Amarante center, but still utterly tranquil.
I can see theyve taken on board previous feedback from other reviews and have made improvements recommended. As mentioned, the place was impeccably clean, and at this time of year the big lounge area and bedroom were cool havens compared to outside.

Clear potential but considerable investment required.
Not easy to locate property difficult to find restaurant in the town. Property needs a lot of renovation.
