The hotel is truly beautiful, and the staff are incredibly friendly.
Hier is een scherpe en vloeiende Bedbugs. Unfortunately, we discovered them just as we were about to go to sleep — and yes, we were bitten.
We reported it immediately. The proposed “solution” was to change the bedding the next day. That is not a solution. No other rooms were available, and instead we were offered a spare mattress full of holes, which looked like it came straight from storage.
The owner suggested that, at 10 PM, we could try to find another hotel ourselves, and then we would be refunded for the remaining nights. Hardly acceptable.
In the end, a plastic cover was placed over the mattress and new sheets provided for the night. The next day, they claimed to have called in a pest control company. Of course, there’s no way for guests to verify that, though the room was cleaned more thoroughly afterwards.
Laundry costs were promised to be reimbursed, but at checkout staff suddenly had no knowledge of this arrangement.
Aside from the bedbug issue, the room was reasonably clean.
The restaurant, however, is uninspiring. And the floor manager is truly unpleasant — he openly yells at staff in front of guests and spends his days video calling with the speaker volume on, which is incredibly disturbing for others.
