The location was perfect (we had a car) for hiking with so many routes nearby & less than 20 min drive away (Caves Dale, Mam Tor & neighbouring hills, Stannage Edge etc). Also near Chatsworth House where afternoon tea was a treat. The house was spotless & well equipped (as vegetarians that’s important as we mainly cook our meals). The village quiet & like a postcard picture. The view from the terrace was like being in The French countryside. The church bells capped off the perfect match for us.
A mirror on the wall on the bathroom would have made putting in contact lenses easier but there were smaller portable ones.

The mattresses could be better quality, the front door has a faulty lock that needs maintenance

Beautiful cottage full of character with everything we needed. Very comfortable beds, plenty of storage with good quality furniture including under stairs pantry, powerful shower over bath. Views are stunning from every room. Patio garden with seating ideal for morning coffee or evening wine. Lots of lovely touches, books and board games, lots of information about local area and places to eat, wine and cookies on arrival
. Bradwell is also a lovely village with 3 good pubs 2 of which serve food. Great for local walks. Great value for money. Excellent communication from owner prior to our arrival. Parking on street next to cottage. Would defintiely stay again.

Characterful cottage with all the mod cons! We particularly enjoyed the stunning view from the patio garden area. We would definitely stay here again.
I only wish we had been able to stay longer ;) - we had a fantastic time!
