The cottage is in the heart of Castleton, close to pubs, cafe and the local attractions
The cottage had ample cooking equipment for our party of 6
And was suprisingly large
It dropped points from us for the following:
There is too much furniture which makes it feel more cramped than cosy...less is more in this case.
The back garden was in need of maintenance and the outdoor furniture could have been wiped down
There was not enough toilet paper for a 4 night stay
There were no extra bin bags provided
Tissue boxes were empty and the lounge cushions and rugs felt unclean.
Washing pods could have been provided as a nice touch although there were plenty of dishwasher tablets
We did enjoy the cottage but the above points addressed would make it a 10
.

Parking spot was taken on our 2nd day so maybe a sign would help

Very cute and cozy cottage. Just what we needed for a trip away. Location was great. The host left us wine cookies tea coffee milk and sugar and even shower gel! It was easy to get the key details to get in. The cottage was sparkling clean, we enjoyed our stay so much would definitely book again.
One bathroom between 6 women was hard work. Only 2 toilet rolls were left and extra roll would have been great. Maybe the downstairs cupboard could be turned into just a toilet on its own especially as the cottage sleeps 6. Would have been great to have a bbq and hot tub outside (just a few suggestions) ๐
