It was a nice and cosy place. 2 bathrooms was an added bonus. Views from the parking were breathtaking but the views from the windows are nothing special. The beds were comfy and facilities were great. The washing machine didn't work, apparently required maintenance.
Maple Cottage is a bit hard to find despite the instructions sent in the email. I got to a property but could not find Maple cottage and could not connect with the phone number. I had to then go snooping around to find a courtyard at the back that had the door to Maple cottage. A map could have been useful.

Beautiful building. Very comfortable.
We had a broken sofa which limited the space in the sitting area. All four of us could not sit together and relax/ watch TV.

Very well appointed modern facilities within a traditional lakeland stone building.
Good base for a waliking holiday with plenty of options on its doorstep.
In bad weather it would have been a bit too far to walk to the amenities in Keswick on an evening.
Fortunately we were blessed with no rain.
