Needed a quick escape from Bangalore, and Birchwood Retreat near Madikeri totally delivered. The whole jungle-stay vibe is amazing - dense greenery, complete peace, and no city chaos. The rain turned up while we were there, which honestly made the whole thing feel super magical and moody.
The spot itself and the overall vibe are 10/10. The only downside was the food. The restaurant is fine, but a bit overpriced for what you get.

Despite being located just off the main road, the property gives you the peaceful feeling of staying in the middle of a forest. The lush greenery and tranquil surroundings make it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. The rooms are exceptionally spacious, clean, and comfortable, providing plenty of room to relax. It’s an ideal place to unwind, reconnect with nature, and enjoy a calm, refreshing stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.
The food was a bit expensive, especially for a large group like ours (10 adults and kids). As a result, we chose to order food from outside. More reasonably priced meal options or group packages would have been appreciated.
