Breakfast was very good

On the evening of arrival we were expecting to eat at the bar (which we were told you did not need to book for) as we had already been told that the restaurant was fully booked. When we arrived at the bar to order we were informed (after we had menus in our hands and ordered drinks) that the kitchen had been suddenly closed due to "staff shortages" and because the hotel had conference guests. We had to go out in the dark and drizzle to eat elsewhere. We did eat at the bar the following evening, which had a very limited menu and our meals were a little below par

The consiage was brilliant, a really helpful chap. Lovely ground and historical hotel. Nice food in restaurant. We were upgraded due to an issue with the original room.

Sauna/ steam/ jacuzzi were not very hot.

The breakfast was very good, the restaurant was excellent. 3 minute walk from the station and close to centre of Grange Over Sands , with great walks and lovely views Staff excellent and attentive to service.

Fantastic stay as always, perfect location and great facilities. Staff are really nice and friendly as well.

Room was next to the lift, which we could hear all night, the beds not very comfy springs could be felt.

Such a gorgeous building, inside and out, exceptional!
