The building is very beautiful and has a lovely large courtyard with amazing views. On one side is the Collegiate and on the other the Monasterio, both beautiful buildings. The pool looks very inviting but I didn’t try it.
Room 401, which I was in, has a very lovely, large balcony.
The keypad entry system worked very well.
The receptionist I spoke to on the phone was very helpful, as was the lovely lady who was cleaning the rooms.
One thing that may not suit everyone is that it is at the top of short, but very steep hill.
My fault for not doing enough research, there are no buses from the station into the town and there were no taxis there. Be prepared with numbers of taxi companies or prearrange pickup. I had planned to walk but it is quite a long way and it was 40 deg.
The A/C wasn’t very cold, perhaps in Spain there are some controls during the day? I arrived around 4pm during a heatwave could have done with a bit of cool. It wasn’t too bad during the night though, when the outside temp got cooler anyway.
Both taps ran hot, I couldn’t get any cold water.
There is no restaurant and no means of getting hot or cold drinks, a cold drink vending machine would have been very helpful.
The mattress protector has a plastic waterproof liner which is noisy and sweaty.
No gluten free options for breakfast, the continental breakfast is basically a sandwhich

Beautiful location. Nice pool. Lovely town.
The reception closed midday so you couldn’t get a drink. No vending machines for water etc. only 2 sunbeds around the pool. Luckily we got them but the other guests had to sit on very uncomfortable metal chairs. We wanted to eat in the restaurant attached to the hotel, they didn’t have any tables left. The room had tiny windows, no natural light.
