We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Rheinfels. The service was friendly and helpful, and the hotel’s location made it a convenient base for exploring Sankt Goar and the Rhine Valley. The room became a little hot, but otherwise our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Overall, we had a positive experience and would happily recommend the hotel.
The main drawback was that the room became uncomfortably hot. Better ventilation or air conditioning would have made the stay much more comfortable.

The hotel was very comfortable, right across the street from the KD river boat landing stage. The private balcony was very nice and the views of the Rhine were amazing. Great place to watch the world go by. The breakfast included was great as well. Short walking distance to restaurants, shops and the Rheinfels Castle.

The location was excellent - easy access from the railway station and directly opposite the landing stage for the Rhein Ferry to Rudesheim.
I requested a very basic room. Most of the other rooms had full curtains, but my room only had a roller blind which did not block the morning light.
[Not a fault of the hotel} sadly, St Goar has been impacted by the cruise ships with many shops / bars / restaurants closed
