Fantastic location as a tourist base

This was a return visit so we had some expectations. On arrival the lovely receptionist changed our room as she could clearly see our need for a walk in shower. No hesitation, immediately she asked me to check if it was suitable, while still offering me the choice of the allocated room. Many thanks for this, I'm very sorry I didn't get your name.
The location is good, room facilities were excellent. The hotel provided all toiletries and the towels were changed daily. The room had excellent air conditioning, this was welcomed due to the excessive heat of the weather. However we ended up turning it off a few times because it was so good. We had coffee making facilities in the room which is always a bonus as well as an iron and ironing board. Excellent 👌.
We took hotel parking which is a must. The bar patio was very comfortable and a cosy corner could be found if you desired.
All in all, thank you to the staff for making a memorable stay.
The only negative is the lift here. My disabled husband got caught a number of times in the lift door due to its rapid closure. In addition the lift really stopped level to the floor causing a step effect. This proved very difficult with his wheels. Not the biggest of lifts so with his folded mobility scooter I was unable to assist him to manoeuvre up this step. Hence how he sustained a few injuries where the door caught him. Trying to negotiate this with crutches too proved quite a challenge.
In addition only 1 lift goes to the -2 parking floor. Sometimes this was difficult to get as the other lift was the primary.
