Sheen Falls Lodge

An amazing experience

Leaving for home

We stayed in a falls view superior room, the view was fantastic - breakfast in bed arrived promptly and was excellent - leisure centre exceeded expectations and was quite which was nice - service and staff were very good, the hotel has lots to offer, plenty of areas to relax and take in the view, afternoon tea was a really nice experience and well priced. You are situated less than a 5 min drive from Kenmare if you want to explore and visit the town.

The weathee was very bad during our stay while this made the experience of the open fires etc even better the rooms as with most of the hotel was very cold - heating was centrally contorlled ( on / off ) so while we could set the temp in the bedroom the heating was off the majority of the time, the bad weather also did highlight that the windows in the room were very bad from a closing, locking, sealing persepctive - this did allow a lot of noise to enter the room which was very noticible at night. We did have dinner in the falls resaraunt one of the two nights and found service to initially be quite slow but it picked up and the dinner was very nice.

Very specious bedroom and ensuite. The Spa was excellent. Breakfast was also excellent. Nice grounds.

Nothing

Excellent general staff, very friendly and competent.

Bar & restaurant management need to up their game. Excessive wait for drinks, 20 wait for menus and queue for breakfast whilst bills input into system.
