Hotel Des Artistes was in a good location for exploring Tarascon. The principal historic sites were a 10 - 15 minute walk. There was free parking on the street near the hotel and elsewhere in the city. Our room was a good size, clean, and comfortable; and we slept well. Breakfast was very good. The proprietor was friendly and helpful.
Being an older building, there was no elevator; so getting our luggage up and down quite a few stairs was not easy. We also had 2 steps up to reach the bathroom, and both of us tripped on these during the night.

The Hotel is an ancient "Hotel particulier" with a lot of charm and with rich architecture traits. It was nicely decorated with movies accessories and decor. it was very original and we liked it a lot. The room was very spacious for our group. It was clean and had the A/C, which was very appreciated in the summer. The young lady at the reception was very nice and helpful, I would recommend this hotel.

Comfortable spacious room with nice outdoor space.
Nice typical French breakfast provided.
Interesting decor as owner very much into art both modern and classic.
Good central location for us as we were visiting lots of different sites in Provence.
Would stay again if visiting the area again.
Tarascon itself very much a provincial town with limited choice of restaurants/cafes.
