It is quite a beautiful building and once upon a time was probably very grand and luxurious, but has now fallen on hard times. The mattress was very comfortable, and the location was great. The staff were friendly. The room was warm.
Very dated. Horrid towels. Horrid loo paper. Horrid shower. The plug nearest the bed (for your phone) is about a foot above your pillow in the middle of the bed, and there is also a telephone socket and cable in the same position. The walls are paper thin. I could hear everything going on in the next room - the sound of things being dropped on the floor, zips, every word on their TV , furniture scraping. No facilities.
