I have stayed at Kaclla twice now and both times were excellent. The staff is kind and helpful, especially the breakfast chef. I love the breakfast and it's a beautiful oasis in the city, walking distance to the beach, Malecon, and other places I wanted to go.
I had requested an airport transfer via booking.com and when I arrived, nobody was there to pick me up. I ended up arranging my own taxi just fine, but it seems like we had a miscommunication. If you're staying downstairs, the staff sometimes plays music in the mornings, so wear earplugs.

Good location - only a few minutes walk from the Airport Shuttle stop.
The owner was nice.
- I was assigned to the annex building. Although this was communicated by DM upon reservation,they should make it clear in the description. They promised better facility and equipment in the annex but that wasn’t the case.
- I’m not liking the hostel’s attitude towards negative reviews. To me they appear to respond to them with slight aggressiveness, sometimes even saying they’re “ false claims from the guests “. I think they should just accept them as they are (as long as the bad reviews are real voices and still reasonable complaints)
- the fridge was in a disgusting state.it definitely needs deep cleaning
