Plaza Awajishima is a magical place for me! After a wonderful stay just three weeks earlier, I returned with dear friends from Oregon who were visiting Japan. I wanted them to experience the beauty, tranquility, and warm hospitality that make this resort so special.
Our two-night stay began with a complimentary shuttle ride up the mountain, where we were warmly welcomed by attentive staff. I was delighted to see the same staff member who had assisted me during my previous visit. Her thoughtful attention throughout our stay made us feel especially welcome.
Our two rooms on the sixth floor offered breathtaking views of the Onaruto Bridge connecting Awaji Island and Tokushima. Through our wide windows, we watched sightseeing boats heading toward the famous Naruto whirlpools.
The outdoor onsen was heavenly! Soaking in the soothing waters while admiring the spectacular scenery was an unforgettable experience.
Our 6:30 p.m. kaiseki dinner was equally magical. Each beautifully presented dish reflected the artistry of Japanese cuisine. Our wonderful server, Takenaka-san, patiently explained every course. Our American friends loved the experience, although the generous number of dishes was almost overwhelming! I had planned another onsen visit afterward but was so relaxed that I slept soundly until morning.
Breakfast was another delight, featuring an abundant selection of delicious Japanese and Western dishes. We especially appreciated being seated in a quiet, intimate dining area overlooking the water, where we could savor our meal surrounded by nature's beauty.
What makes Plaza Awajishima truly special is its combination of breathtaking scenery, exquisite dining, relaxing onsen, and genuinely caring staff.
Sharing this magical retreat with our friends made the experience even more memorable. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and eager to return.

屋上露天風呂はとても良かったです。
当日ハッピーバースデーの物がいましたが、
ホテルからのもてなしを受け写真も添えて頂きました。

喫煙ルームが快適でした
良くも悪くも無駄がない
なかなかの高級プランでしたが、部屋のアメニティは想定外になく…不便しました
お風呂にいく階段が多く、高齢者には不向き
