The views, swimming pool, restaurant & breakfast. Spacious bathrooms.
Check in process was very rushed with no welcome information about the place. Had to ask 3 times to get the air conditioning working. the aircon is really noisy so if you are a light sleeper then you will find this an issue. The rooms with views have fantastic views! however no privacy as people from the restaurant can see straight up. We had the curtains closed all the time which was very disappointing. The swimming pool is large & has great vistas but to get to it you have to walk past the smelly waste recycling tent via the hot bitumen car park.
Guests aren’t allowed to drink or eat in the pool area & the hotel is not close to any bars. We came a long way to get to Piemonte (Australia) hence we were expecting to be able to lounge by the pool & have some cocktails given the heat.
In short Casa Nicolini is a confusing experience. They definitely spend more effort on pleasing the restaurant patrons which probably brings in the $$$, instead of providing a professional experience for hotel guests.
Btw their restaurant has exceptional food & service. We had 2 dinners during our stay of 3 nights.
