The staff was very friendly, although the gift store was closed, and there were only 2 staff so when it was time to eat, or if you ordered anything but a bottled beer, it didn't seem feasible for the two (very friendly) staffers to accommodate any over and above type requests from the guests.
More staff on hand to make things like Pisco Sours for the tourists.
I wish the gift store was open. The man at the desk might have been new.... when I'd ask "Where is this? "Where is that?" he was very uncertain, however we did have a language barrier- My Spanish is not good
The room was beautiful , but the shower needs a shower curtain! You take a shower, and all the water floods the bathroom Also, most places in Peru- the rooms need their own water heaters- The water takes a long time to warm up, therefore wasting precious water. I like warm showers so I wasted water for 5 minutes for it to warm it up.

The hotel is undeniably charming, with a gorgeous garden and a prime location right in the city center.
I booked the ultimate suite hoping for a restful stay after a long trip, but unfortunately, the room's cleanliness fell short of expectations. Upon arrival, I noticed spider webs above the bed and visible dust under the furniture and behind the TV. I reported this to the front desk and shared photos via WhatsApp as requested, but received no follow-up or assistance.
On the bright side, the bathtub was a highlight perfect for a relaxing soak. Breakfast, however, was underwhelming. The buffet offered limited hot options, and on my final morning, I arrived ten minutes before closing only to find the doors already shut. Staff kindly offered coffee and scrambled eggs, but the food was lukewarm and clearly from earlier service.
Overall, the hotel has potential thanks to its location and ambiance, but attention to cleanliness and guest service needs improvement to truly deliver a premium experience.
