Good place to explore Samos!

My personal worst stay ever, the quality of the accommodation and services was terrible.

Excellent location, but unfortunately this is the only good thing.

We honestly didn’t have great expectations but this place is below any standards of accomodation. The first disturbing thing was the bad smell of old and mouldy stuff, we couldn’t place our clothes in the closed closet as there was a stronger smell inside them. The bed sheets were stained (the curtains as well) and the general cleanliness in the room was poor. The same feeling we had when we used the bathroom that had a lot of old hanging elements (the mirror shelf, made of ceramics, almost falling apart, the shower curtains, even the balcony seamed a little unsecure). The refrigerator was extremely noisy and the matress of our double bed was rock like. The third bed we had asked for our 7yrs daughter was very unconfortable as it had a „dive in” matress and of course stained bedding. The food was almost inedible, and we were sent to the supermarket to buy milk for our coffee at breakfast (that was included with the room). Last thing, communication was almost impossible as nobody in there spoke English properly. The location was excellent but the quality of the accomodation and services was terrible. We decided to check out after the first night, at which point the manager got angry. He wanted us to pay for the full stay - that's 8 nights half-board. He made a fuss and even got into an argument with the Booking customer service. We finally paid for one night's stay and all consumption and left.

It’s only okey about location and have their own sea beds, the every other thing are disaster

Closeness to the center and sea

Breakfast was very bad and unsufficient, it wasn’t ok for price/performance Workers were so rude Workers answered every question like they are arguing and agressively. You couldn’t even ask a question. The place is so old and smelling They don’t even have a shampoo

The view from the balcony is amazing , you are beside everything on the marina and there is lots to do in pythagorio! I would recommend getting a car I always do. George is a great host and will always check up on you if you need anything! I have stayed multiple times and will be back!

Excellent location, wonderful sea view. Friendly and helpful owner and staff. Delicious greek food, live greek music, great greek hospitality......., so a true traditional Greek feeling:)) I am very grateful for the great evenings, for the attention, I felt like a part of the family, we ate, drank, danced, sang, laughed together:))) George you are the best dancer, the best Greek:)) I wish to thank for everything, and a big hug from me to you and to everyone. I will come back one day......:)

Beware.We had a booking for studio with balcony on the beachfront.Payment can only be done at hotel in cash.On arrival we were taken to another hotel in the centre of pythagoreio but were told that we could still use facility at Tarsanas.We still had to pay price for our booking at Tarsanas.

I am afraid to travel solo again

the location and the room were terrific

from the first day, the owner of the facility was overly friendly. as the days progressed he went from overly friendly to creepy. I found myself not able to eat at the taverna and I needed to sneak up to my room because he would chase me down. on day 9 of my 15 day stay, he came into my room and made advances on me that were inappropriate and frightening. afraid for my safety, my local friends quickly moved me into a different rental property but his actions have left me afraid to travel solo again. I do NOT recommend this property secondary to the predatory owner.

does it get any better, authentic Greek hospitality and a memorable visit

tarsanas is a transportation to excellent hosting and generous attention the old building, whilst tired, is clean traditional and very special all above expectations. the Greek music and lavish attention and care of us was a bonus. the location cannot be bettered all the best George until we return again

Perfect location and real greek atmosfere

This hotel is in the center of Phytagorio,with a beach and sun beds,we had a beautiful sea view in our room with cosy balcony,very tasty greek breakfast with tasty coffee and fresh orange juice ,the owner and ladies who work there are very friendly and very helpfull so for this small price we had very nice stay! Perfect location with very friendly people!

George knows how to receive! his breakfasts taken close to the sea, feet in the water, are prepared with care! I recommend staying for dinner if he offers you fish!! Great experience

Perfect location right on the beach just steps away from the ferry and the harbour restaurants and bars. Beautiful seaview from the balcony. Nice breakfast, friendly staff. Free sunbeds for hotel guests.

The rooms could use an update, especially the (tiny) bathrooms are very old and worn with some broken tiles, toilet wouldn’t flush properly and the shower curtains were dirty.

A dirty hotel

The location is great in the heart of town with a beautiful Seaview

The hotel is a mess. The reception is also the living quarter of the owner and terrible dirty and smells awful. The kitchen was so dirty when we arrived that we refused the breakfast next morning although we payed for it. The balconies are dangerous. The room is very basic and very outdated. The owner is a grumpy old man. He wants only payments in cash and immediately when you arrive.

Comfortable and very well located.

Excellent location, by the ferry-dock. Nice view directly on the see. The owner of the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful. Pithagoreio is an adorable little town. The room is basic, but with all you need.

Nice host, perfect location!

Nice host, really friendly and a real Greek! I can recommend everybody this hotel, basic and don’t expect something fancy, but the rooms with the view in the morning and the host who is maki g breakfast is great!

Lovely place I will stay again.

Breakfast was great, Dinner great with regular live music- owner and staff were very friendly - felt like part of the family.

Room was small - with do you expect for 3 stars. Great views and a small hot plate to make tea etc.
