Very basic rooms and hotel interior.
No fresh air in the room unless you open the door to the balcony where everyone can enter.

This was my second stay at the Buurs sport hotel, I liked the friendly reception and bar staff. The bar served good food at a reasonable price and the breakfast was varied and plentiful. The sauna, swimming pool and gym are available to guests although the pool was often occupied by private sessions for children’s swimming lessons and aquarobics. There is a lovely chill out lounge attached to the sauna where you can sit in your robe and order food and drinks from the bar and read a book. This is really a small hotel attached to a sports centre but this adds to it’s charm. The rooms were cleaned every day and everything was functional. There’s parking outside and it’s only a short walk into town whether it be in Belgium or Holland or both.
The WiFi didn’t reach my room with a strong enough signal and i couldn’t get mobile data in the room. If I carefully moved to a certain location I could get one bar of wifi enough to watch YouTube and send emails on my phone. I would have liked more time to enjoy the hotel facilities but I was working so didn’t get much chance that’s not the hotels fault.

Locatie en ontbijt prima. Badkamer primitief, piepklein wastafeltje waarbij zelfs tandenpoetsen niet meeviel. De douche was een crime: zeer smalle ruimte achter een wapperend gordijn, van enige bewegingsvrijheid was nauwelijks sprake. De handdoeken behoorlijk verwassen: die mogen dus wel eens vervangen worden.
