We loved this place last year, so decided to return again for a couple of nights on our road trip across Romania. And I am pleased that the quality remained top-notch: great communication with the host, spotlessly clean apartment, including the bed linen and kitchen equipment.
Quiet area, nice views from the balcony, a playground - perfect for families with young kids.

Since it is a newly built house, the house and door numbers and street markings are incomplete, and the parking lot was also a little more difficult to find.

The flat is located in a new quarter of the prospering small town of Sebes. The top floor flat had a nice roof space which looked on to some small farms with green hills behind. The bedroom was bright and comfortable and the kitchen really didn't lack much. (Fridge seemed new) Hot water was readily available along with both a bath and shower.
Finally, the centre of Sebes is very nice and has a 'go-ahead' feel to it.
3 things come to mind.
Internet was erratic, especially in the early evening (I suspect due to heavy demand). I think the problem is area-wide and on my first day it worked fine.
Without a car, it is necessary to use taxis (not expensive & quite easy to find) I walked once and on another occasion was lucky to find a bus (but couldn't acquire a timetable).
It was necessary to receive and return the key to a relative of the owner. I arrived in the daytime so not a problem and it was good to be shown around the apartment. But I had to leave very early which was probably more of a problem for the owner.

It is an appartment in a new building on the outskirts of Sebes. It is on the top floor in a corner, meaning little noise from neighbours. The appartment has a lot of equipment inside and a terrace. You get the key from a lock box next to the entrance to the building. There is a reserved parking space for you. The building is on the outskirts of Sebes, so in a quiet area. The internet worked fine. The owner was easy to get in touch with after the first day. He was apologetic for the issues mentioned earlier.
There are three issues with the appartment.
For one it is difficult to reach. The owner gives you the building and the GPS coordinates. But the coordinates are imprecise and you cannot read the building numbers at night. We had to get out of the car and look. The parking spot is also difficult to see at night which one is yours. We first took someone else's, then relocated.
Some things in the appartment don't work. While we were coming the owner messaged us in Romanian that the cooker is broken and apologized. We thought ok, but it turned out the stovetop also did not work. There was not electric kettle, and boiling water in a microwave is no fun, as the electric kettle also had connection issues.
But the biggest issue was the appartment was not cleaned properly. There were lots of dead insects in a few places, some hair on the floor. The bathroom was also questionable. The biggest hit was a bathroom drawer where you had the hairdryer and lots of half used toiletries including a used disposable shaver, some Durex gel, half full toothpaste and lots of somebody's hair. In some drawers you also had heaps of random stuff of questionable cleanness. The wardrobe in the bedroom also had some bed laundry crumpled up, probably also dirty. The place kinda looks as if the owners were living there and did not clean it up properly afterwards and did not take their stuff.
Also there were small things like the bedsheets being too small, communication in Romanian on the first day. The place has the potential to be a really great appartment, but it needs more attention.
