This place was fantastic! One of the nicest Booking.com properties we've ever stayed in. It was spotlessly clean, decorated beautifully, very homely and so peaceful. The location is perfect- right in the heart of Alston. There is a Co-op literally over the road that's open till 10pm everyday, and a couple of lovely pubs and cafes. There is free parking in the village square right outside. We instantly felt at home here and loved our stay so much that we've already booked to come back again!
The bathroom extractor fan is very loud! But I guess there isn't much that can be done about that, as the bathroom doesn't have a window so I'm sure it needs a good quality fan to keep it damp free. This is honestly the only thing I can think of! Other than that, this place is perfect!

Very quiet peaceful location. Cottage was very quirky, shower lovely bed very comfortable .
Nothing! Slight issue with TV remote but it certainly didn’t spoil our stay.

The bed was comfortable
No welcome pack ie milk and biscuits (which we have always had in other cottages.
Cottage is an under dwelling so noise from upstairs residents scrapping chairs, footsteps, TV noise. Weather was lovely but no real outdoor area to sit.
Crockery was not very clean on arrival or Cooker hob and hood. Too much furniture cluttering up the lounge/kitchen
