Manage your expectations

The hotel is very well situated in the forest that was great for bird viewings. We saw many birds by simply sitting at the restaurant. The house was very spacious.

The hotel is quite old and doesn’t have enough personnel. The restaurant serves a very good pizza but the rest of the food wasn’t great. Better go for dinner to Mindo.

Mindo is a beautiful place and the lodge was a great setting for bird watching!

exceptional property! The view was the best and you could watch birds from the room!

they might buy a vehicle to deliver luggage to the top bungalows

The hotel is located a little bit outside of Mindo center, but not far from it - the spot is simply beautiful. We felt more than comfortable in our Suite incl whirlpool on the balcony and enjoyed our stay to the utmost. Very good breakfast and food too. Highly recommended!

Breathtaking Rainforest Views and Unmatched Luxury at Terrabambu Lodge

We had an amazing stay at Terrabambu Lodge, which provided incredible views of the rainforest and its wildlife. Our Bengal room was especially impressive, featuring a jacuzzi and two levels with huge glass windows offering breathtaking views of the surrounding vegetation and birdlife. The soothing background noise of the rainforest made for a truly immersive experience. Moreover, the staff were absolutely awesome and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We were also delighted by the great value for money offered by the lodge. We highly recommend Terrabambu Lodge to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable stay in the Mindo area.

Loved the place; would return again in a heartbeat. Wonderful location, surroundings & restaurant.

surroundings were beautiful and we loved the views of the mountains with clouds hanging over them. The open-air dining room was terrific! Loved the setting eating outside and watching the birds and Kinkajou and Agouti eating plantains. Lovely place!

Didn't like the bathroom being one flight down and the bathroom floor being so glossy slippery and particularly bad after a shower when wet; very very slippery. Also, much glass everywhere but very tiny openings to get air inside so the room tended to be hot.

Idyllic Cloud forest retreat. Bring a car and sturdy shoes!

Stunning cloud forest location, beautiful accommodation. Great views. Hummingbirds galore. Great bar and restaurant on site.

Isolated very difficult without a car. Also very rough paths and very steep walk back to lodge from restaurant. Very rough terrain all round on the site. Virtually no English spoken but that’s our problem not theirs!

Highly recommended, high value

Outstanding lodge and property. Cottage 8 has a phenomenal view. Property is outside of village but walking distance to butterflies and chair lift, and from lift are hikes in jungle to waterfalls. Lovely breakfasts. Very friendly staff.

No complaints. I don't recommend dinner at their "Italian" restaurant.

This place is heaven on earth. Located not far from the center, right in the enter of the rain forest., It was so beautiful we could have stay for few more days.

A room in the clouds

This is 100% an experience stay. The amenities are great as is the restaurant and staff. We stayed in the free standing houses up the mountain. The views are spectacular and buildings great.

The location is amazing. Ther is a good brekfest with bird feeding spots. our room was up hill isolated not near the pool but part of natur beutiful views of rainforest, birds, butterflys, squirl on the tree.... even a tucan!! we did the canopy thst is the place complimentry... Was amasing stay. And the room is beutiful with large windows that bring all the nature in. 2 toilets in each floor we are a family of 5 and it was exsptional

The only thing, that for us it was no problem becuse we had a rental 4×4 car, its hard to get to and the room that is isolated is up hill

Excellent stay in the clouds!

Spacious, comfortable, beautiful room. With the windows open, you're able to hear the river flowing and birds chirping, very peaceful! Easy walk to other activities in Mindo.

What a stay!

It was like a dream. The place was so full of nature, you could see the birds from your bed. The house was so big and great, beds were amazing and comfortable. The breakfast and food were really delicious and even the way to the food was a little hike in the jungle. We liked everything there.

Nothing, just sometimes the quality of wifi, but who cares on that place :D

Breakfast was eggs, fruits, bread and coffee or hot chocolate. It's from 8 am - 10 am and you can choose to sit outside on the balcony or indoors.

Jenny and the team at Terrabambu were exceptional, they went above and beyond to make sure we had an incredible stay. The suite was incredible, great value for money, and being able to observe the birds flying around in the trees from the comfort of your bed or the jacuzzi bath was a treat. They also have a feeding station on the balcony outside the restaurant which means you get to see a huge variety of birds (hummingbirds, toucans, motmots) while you're eating your breakfast! Can't recommend highly enough.

Wonderful stay in Mindo

Terrabambu is a wonderful place to stay in Mindo. I was amazed by the wildlife watching without even leaving the lodge: we saw toucans, motmots, hummingbirds, tanagers, countless types of other birds I don't know the name of, agoutis and an opossum. The cabana is cute and spacious, with a beautiful view, quiet and comfortable. The outdoor tub was amazing to use while watching the rain from the balcony. The lodge is about 15 minutes walk from the town, and the ziplines and cable car are also in a walkable distance. The breakfast was lovely and there's an onsite restaurant that does good food. The staff was helpful and it was great to have filtered water provided. I'd absolutely recommend this place.

Comfortable cloud forest retreat

We loved the outdoor spaces that were rain protected (because it rained every day of our trip!). Dining on the patio and watching the bird feeders was relaxing, but having our own personal/private hot tub was the best. The bed was also huge and comfortable.

The internet was slow and spotty at the dining area and non-existent in our room. We are also used to tourist locations knowing some English. Our tiny bit of Spanish knowledge got us what we needed, but things would have been much smoother and easier if we were able to communicate more easily.

What a beautiful and well-managed place! We had such a good time at this architectural jewel in a beautiful nature setting. The feeding of the birds close to the restaurant's terrace was the best. Very charming location and super friendly staff. Would come back straight away!

Far exceeded our expectations!!!

This place is paradise!!! Birdwatching, hot tub on porch, excellent food, superb staff, location peaceful!! Can’t say enough about how great our stay was!!

Breakfast coffee could be served a little earlier then 8 am.

Absolutely stunning location. Hot tub was great. Staff helped us to get a taxi to town (5min drive or 10min walk). Close to the tubing (5min walk) and ziplining (10min walk). They also have their own 2 short ziplines which you can use, this is included in your room rate.

Only down side is nobody of the staff speaks english. Location is up on a hill so when it rains the dirt road to reach it becomes slippery.
